WASHINGTON D.C. – On Thursday July 23, 2009, DC on the Fly is sponsoring the first wild card round of AArrow Advertising’s Annual Sign Spinning Competition from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on the National Mall at Seventh Street. This will be the first of four wild card rounds and will feature 24 professional sign spinners, between the ages of 16-24, from Baltimore, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia and Virginia Beach competing to secure a spot at this year’s global sign spinning competition to be held in Miami in February. The wild card rounds are new additions this year and aim to find the best sign spinner in the world while showcasing sign spinning as a globally competitive sport. Each heat will be timed with two sign spinners battling head-to-head to advance to the next round. All competitors are judged on performance and showmanship, style and originality and technicality of trick knowledge and execution. “This competition is going to be one of the most exciting events to hit the Mall since Obama’s inauguration,” AArrow Advertising Baltimore Franchisee Josh Notes said. “You don’t want to miss it because our sign spinners have been practicing for months and will wow the crowd.” DC on the Fly is a mobile catering and eco-friendly company that provides food to people on the go via mobile cafes called smartkarts. DC on the Fly is sponsoring this event by providing 75 tacos and water to all competitors. AArrow Advertising is a franchise company that provides advertising to businesses internationally.
