SAN DIEGO, CA– On Monday July 6, AArrow Advertising puts a brand new spin on the meaning of driving skills by partnering with the Ford Motor Company to make teens everywhere better and safer drivers. At 10 a.m. on Monday, 20 AArrow Sign Spinners are attending the Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) training at the Fun Bike Center in Kearny Mesa, 5755 Kearny Villa Road, San Diego, CA. The AArrow Sign Spinners will be behind the wheel to learn skid control, evasive maneuvering, controlled braking and off-road recovery. Other activities include vehicle maintenance (learning how to change a flat tire and check fluid levels); drunk driving simulation and a safety belt convincer. AArrow Advertising cares about their youth employees age 14-26 and plans to include the Driving Skills for Life program as part of the new hire orientation. “The goal here is to educate our sign spinners that drive to designated spots for work the importance of safe driving,” AArrow Advertising COO Michael Kenny said.“We care about saving lives and plan to incorporate DSFL into each of our corporate offices and franchisees training.” Ford Driving Skills for Life was established in 2003 by Ford Motor Company Fund, the Governors Highway Safety Association and a panel of safety experts to teach newly licensed teens the necessary skills for safe driving beyond what they learn in standard driver education programs.
